Country coach, 2021

Oksana Schetinina is 29 years old. She holds the title of Honored Master of Sport of Russia in kickboxing; her major sports achievements include winning the World Championship in 2013, the European Championship twice, and the Russian Championship seven times. After retiring from professional sports in 2018, Oksana left Moscow for the village of Krasnogvardeyskoye, located 30 km from the village where she grew up in Stavropol Krai. There, she established a kickboxing club at the local sports school. Oksana’s decision still puzzles those who dream of Moscow. Oksana greatly enjoys country life and has big ambitions for her coaching career. After two years of training, her students bring back medals from all regional competitions. Since there is no suitable training facility in the village, Oksana has submitted a request to the regional administration to build a martial arts school. The request has been approved. For now, training sessions take place several evenings a week in the old House of Culture building. In the morning, Oksana works as a PE teacher at a local college, and she also regularly holds training sessions for adults.
